Georgia-Pacific's Palatka Paper Mill is seeking a Project Leader/Scheduler to assist with planning and scheduling activities for its $20 million, two-week November 2023 outage.
This is a paid position ($27/hour) that will introduce the student to the tissue, pulp and packaging industry, and is ideal for students interested in project management, operations or planning/scheduling careers.
The role will involve using MS Projects to build and maintain a master integrated schedule for the outage and related engineering projects.
The employee will help to compile the schedule by collecting 400
work orders and building out timelines for their necessary steps.
The Palatka Paper Mill is one of the largest paper mills in the Southeast.
This is a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insight into major industrial outages and capital projects while learning from industry professionals.
Weekly Pay! Interested applicants should have:
SAP and P6 experience preferred, with the ability to convert MS Projects and Excel files into P6 documents Comfort interacting with paper mill employees and the ability to maintain positive relationships with various employees Immediate availability - if interested, work will be available through November 10 The ability to work 40-hour weeks (10-hour days, five days a week) during the summer Equal Opportunity Employer.
