years.
The Part-Time Accounting Clerk assists the Controller in key financial areas.
The accounting clerk will have the primary day-to-day responsibility which includes the following:
Essential Job Functions Data entry General ledger maintenance Preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports Review, code and verify transactions including billing, invoices, checks and journal entries.
Reconciling accounts and bank statements.
The accounting clerk should have a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
This position will also complete moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software tools and will report to the Controller.
Hours Flexible schedule (days and hours), up to 29 hours per week.
Education Required:
High school graduate, some college preferred
Experience:
1 year general accounting preferred Work Environment:
This job operates in an office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, etc.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
