Responsibilities Assist veterinarian in medical procedures Administer medication and vaccines Take x-rays and perform laboratory tests Assist in surgeries Provide education to clients on animal care Maintain medical records Clean and maintain equipment and facilities Answer phones and assist in scheduling Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a veterinary technician/assistant program preferred Experience working with animals Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
